Sheila joins General Manhattan with over two decades of experience working in the financial services industry, both in the private and public sectors.
Sheila first worked for Citigroup after obtaining her Bachelors of Business degree from the University of Iowa. After many successful years of service working for the credit card division at Citigroup, Sheila moved to the public service sector.
As Deputy Treasurer & Executive Director for the Nevada State Treasurer’s Office, Sheila was responsible for managing the State’s multiple 529 Programs including Nevada’s Prepaid Tuition Program, and the Governor Guinn Millennium Scholarship Program. With AUM of over $23B, Nevada’s 529 programs are the 7th largest in the country. In addition to handling the savings and scholarship programs, Sheila initiated and deployed multiple successful statewide financial literacy programs in Nevada. Sheila still serves on the JumpStart and NV Council of Economic Education Boards.
Sheila is the proud mother of Andre, a senior at UCSD, and Kayla, a sophomore at Emory University. In her spare time she enjoys volunteering, hiking, traveling and continually learning.
